Description |
This one day course will provide an in-depth analysis of the assessment and treatment process needed to support the treatment of children and families impacted with sensory processing disorders, regulatory disorders or disorders of relating and communicating. Emphasis will be placed on clinical reasoning and analysis during the assessment and intervention process. Strategies will be provided for the entire family system that is impacted with these challenges. A brief overview of the most recent research indicating the clear neurobiological differences in children with these challenges will be presented as well as implications for more specific treatment approaches. A significant portion of the teaching will utilize video case presentation to highlight salient aspects of assessment and treatment processes.
