SOS Feeding Therapy

Description

The Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding is a trans-disciplinary program for assessing and treating children with feeding and weight/growth difficulties and was created by Dr. Kay Toomey. This two hour presentation will give an overview of how SOS integrates sensory, motor, oral, behavioral/learning, medical and nutritional factors, debunking myths about feeding, and offers tips for parents in creating a positive eating environment. Participants will not be trained to implement SOS strategies at home as that has to be taught in a larger context and over several days with Dr. Toomey.
