Trauma and the Developing Brain

Description

The Will County MAPP Collaborative in partnership with the Workforce Investment Board of Will County present this year’s Youth Provider Networking Summit, Linkages to the Future. Collaboration is essential when serving families with young children. No matter the developmental phase, all youth providers strive to help youth reach their optimal development. This Summit will will run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and will focus on how success at each stage of development eventually leads to healthy adults.

Anne Studzinski, Managing Director of Illinois Childhood Trauma Coalition, will present Trauma and the Developing Brain. This workshop will examine the potential impacts of trauma on the developing brain and effective intervention strategies for working with children.
