Sex Differences in Playing & Learning

Description

In this workshop we will talk about the similarities and differences between boys and girls beginning from pregnancy through early childhood. Emphasis will be given to differences between environment and genetics. Discussions about how children learn through play and the importance of a variety of play and learning opportunities will be reviewed. Topics included are: fine motor/gross motor development, literacy skills, spatial awareness, emotional development, and language development.
