Early Intervention Services for Young Children With Autism Spectrum Disorders

Learning Objective One: Identify evidence-based therapy practices with young children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).

Learning Objective Two: Demonstrate therapeutic play techniques incorporating Floor Time, and sensory integration techniques with young children with ASD.

Learning Objective Three: Apply family-centered practices within the context of intensive, early intervention services for young children with ASD.

Level of Material: Intermediate

Participants will gain an understanding of evidence-based intervention practices for children 12-36 months of age with autism spectrum disorders, and will learn how to integrate multiple approaches to provide comprehensive, family-centered programs, and for delivering effective play-based sessions.
