Description |
This training is specifically designed for developmental therapists, but is also helpful for other disciplines in learning how to facilitate movement of young children. This training will give an overview of the gross motor components of development and characteristics of each of those movements. Movement will be broken down in the first year of life based on what is typical of children's gross motor development, as well as atypical skills. Demonstrations of these movement patterns will assist therapists in understanding how to best facilitate movement of young children. Additionally the presenter will will be labs to help facilitate understanding of development, such as Associated Reaction Lab and Head/neck block. Participants should dress comfortably for this training.
