This workshop is designed to educate participants on the various needs of the child and family during the transition out of the Early Intervention system. The importance of writing objectives to fit school preparation. A variety of strategies to prepare families and children for the first meeting at the school will be presented. Information that is needed when writing a discharge summery, including family concerns. Additionally resource will be given on transition and the child/family. Equipment that might be needed for travel to school. It is important that therapist understand the importance of a smooth transition and the information available for families.
