Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique (DPPT) for the EI Population

Description

The “Deep Pressure and Proprioceptive Technique” (DPPT) is an intense therapeutic technique that is family implemented throughout their daily routine to help the mind, brain, and body be organized. DPPT can improve a child’s overall regulation, calming, decrease sensory seeking behaviors, decrease tactile defensiveness, improve sleeping and eating patterns, increase attention span, etc. by providing input to the child’s tactile and proprioceptive systems on a regular schedule. The therapists will be trained in the history and protocol of DPPT. They will also have the opportunity to practice DPPT techniques.
