DPPT can improve a child’s overall regulation, calming, decrease sensory seeking behaviors, decrease tactile defensiveness, improve sleeping and eating patterns, increase attention span, etc. by providing input to the child’s tactile and proprioceptive systems on a regular schedule. The therapists will be trained in the history and protocol of DPPT. They will also have the opportunity to practice DPPT techniques.
