Intervention Strategies for Children with Complex Medical Needs: Is More Therapy Better?

Description

A natural consideration for many EI providers, medical specialists and families is to increase the amount of therapeutic interventions that a child with complex needs. Appreciating that individualization is always a component of planning for a child and family, this presentation will help evaluate how to consider what intervention amount and the type of intervention that would be most helpful. Various vignettes will be discussed. Including the family in the process of decision-making and intervention often holds the key to knowing what and how much therapy would best support the child.
