Supportive Services for Children with Down Syndrome and their Families

Description

A representative from the National Association for Down Syndrome will present on supportive services offered by their organization. She will talk from the perspective of a parent with a child with Down Syndrome about the experience of learning her child's diagnosis, the process of coming to terms with the diagnosis and the experience of parenting a child with a disability. She will talk about what professionals can do to support families and how we can partner with NADS to best support families in Early Intervention whose children have Down Syndrome.
