This training will include a facilitated discussion around the DVD - Syndrome Disorders. This course provides definitions, behavior and physical characteristics, genetics, symptoms, and diagnostic criteria for 12 syndromes: Autism, Rett’s, Asperger’s, Landau-Kleffner, Fragile X, Williams, Angelman, Prader Willi, Tourette’s, Downs, Fetal Alcohol, and Selective Mutism. New research, medical information, and ethical information are discussed. Discussion will center around children on current EI caseloads, the impact on the family, and how this information impacts the intervention plan.
