Children with Viual Impirments: Understanding their needs and working with the Chicago Lighthouse

Description

Understanding the needs of infants and toddlers with visual impairments is unique to the work that early intervention service coordinators and providers give to most children and families. In this workshop, foundational information about what determines a visual impairment and the different visual diagnoses and what services are more appropriate and why will be reviewed. Three will also be an overview and discussion with attendees about collaborative suggestions for the Lighthouse and CFC #11 to work together on behalf of families.
