Child Sexual Abuse: Recognizing, Reporting, and Supporting Families

Description

This training educates professionals and community members on the topics of child abuse and child sexual abuse. The presentation is given in a combination lecture/discussion format. Participants will learn how to define child abuse and child sexual abuse as well as identify the signs and symptoms of child sexual abuse. An overview of the grooming process, reacting to disclosures of sexual abuse, as well as the mandated reporting process will be provided. Finally, participants will receive an introduction
