| Description |
Young children learn best when they are active, curious, and engaged with the world around them. Spending time in nature is essential for a young child’s growth, development and learning. The great outdoors provides endless opportunities for movement, wonder, and hands-on exploration. This Day Camp presentation will explore how Early Childhood Professionals can intentionally use outdoor environments as meaningful learning spaces. The body of evidence keeps growing – nature is good for the body and the brain! Participants will hear and discuss some of the nature-based research findings, experience some playful nature-based activities that support their learning objectives and (hopefully) be inspired to expand beyond the walls of the classroom and embrace outdoor education. Are you ready to move, play and learn? Come out and join us!
